Earlier on 2017 the HMD Global announced that the company is focused on selling Nokia brand Phones in the United States. The Nokia 6 and its less powered siblings lineup the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 has already launched in various Asian countries earlier this year.

Nokia 6 is a mid-range unflashy Device but potentially promising to satisfy. We will have to try the screen and the camera before making judgments with it, and the Snapdragon 430 chip is not as strong as the Snapdragon 625 found in the Moto G5 Plus, we consider as the current top phone in this price range.

That has been said, the chip should be good enough to get through the most essential elements. Specifically, charge HMD Global loads the Nokia phones with an almost clean version of Android 7 (Nougat). In addition to a custom camera application and tweaked a few icons, you have none of the accessories that usually occupy space and performance slide on Android devices from other third parties. This means that the phone will get you more of its hardware.

Also the HMD Global is Promises software updates faster than most third-party Android devices accordingly and says it will keep abreast of monthly Google security patches. Time has to show if this is true.

The other point of selling is the hardware in Nokia. It is not small, and it is not functioned with a Bezel-free screen which is packed with more upscale Phones, but it is built with solid aluminum, relatively clean aluminum.

However, the most interesting part of Nokia 6 is its brand. To be clear, it is a Nokia device as the name only. The Nokia still alive, but it is outside the buyers phone business after a disastrous partnership with Microsoft at the beginning of the decade. With BlackBerry, it is one of the most famous victims of Apple and Google to obtain a dominant position in the smartphone market.

HMD Global, led by former Nokia executives, has always branded Nokia phones launched worldwide since it acquired the name. The idea is similar to what the Chinese brand TCL has shown with BlackBerry: use a dominant brand once to aim his eyes on his Android Phone.

Some of these phones like the refurbished Nokia 3310 feature Phone, have been heavy on nostalgia. Others, like the Nokia 6, has nothing to do with the colorful and blocky past Nokia Lumias.

In the same way, it is unlikely to be burglary sales: most Smartphone buyers in the US, Yet buy their phones by mobile operators, and HMD’s Global is strictly sticking with Amazon. Unless, the phone will only work fully in T-Mobile – AT & T has only partial LTE support, and Verizon and Sprint are not supported at all.

However, the Nokia 6 may be worth watching Android enthusiasts on a budget.
