LG has launched a new and improved version of the G6. Nicknamed LG G6 Plus (officially called “LG G6 +”), the phone offers more RAM and additional storage space.

The launch, rumored for weeks and marked the adoption of a strategy that worked well for LG, offering multiple versions of their flagship Smart Phones, instead of the only approach LG has favored until present.

The LG G6 Plus has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of integrated storage, compared to 4 GB and 64 GB of the LG G6. Despite what the nickname might suggest, the G6 Plus is no larger than the regular G6. In fact, all the features, except the RAM and storage space are identical, including QHD screen in 5.7 inches with rounded corners, Snapdragon 821 processor, dual 13MP cameras and 3300mAh.

Really we want to see a Snapdragon 835 instead of Snapdragon 821 aging to really justify the name “Plus”, although it is possible that LG has decided to give priority to a quick release on the marketing influence of a better Processor once again.

Speaking of the battery, the LG G6 Plus has wireless charging, which has only been available on G6 models sold in North America so far. It is unclear whether the G6 provides this feature worldwide or only on specific markets, but certainly we expect LG does not retain the features.

The LG G6 Plus also includes a Hi-Fi DAC, another feature that was only available in some markets in Asia, and these Phones will come with a pair of B&O Play earphones.

The LG has come up with two new colors to the LG G6 Plus: Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold, using a lenticular film to create the same optical effect for the name.

In addition, the new software features comes with both the LG G6 and LG G6 Plus. Also the LG says that both models receive software updates simultaneously.

  • Face Print seems to be the adoption of LG in face recognition, which happens to be one of the authentication methods of the Samsung Galaxy S8. It is assumed that the unlocking takes less than one second.
  • The low power mode is always enabled, as hardware and software that benefits from Qualcomm and Google to collect data from sensors and networks without consuming much energy.
  • Finally, the lens cover will alert users when their fingers are detected in the field of view of the wide angle of the Camera.

The LG G6 plus goes on sale in South Korea in the first place, but the phone will be sold in other markets around the world as well. The price and availability will be reveled soon, but in a previous leak, we believe the device will cost about $100 more than the LG G6.

Oppo launched the R11 and R11 Plus in a press event held in Shenzhen, China last month. Both of these Smart Phones are the latest additions to the Oppo’s popular R series and combine high-end design and quality construction, with excellent performance, innovative camera experience and, of course, above average photography.

Oppo R11 and R11 Plus are the first upcoming Smart Phones with Snapdragon 660 chip – the new upper mid-range Qualcomm topper. With the help of Spectra ISP and Hexagon 680 DSP, the new chip should improve photographic skills and low light portrait, and even offer better performance and battery life in some cases of use.

The R11 duo is not so far from the most important level with the addition of an AMOLED screen, dual camera with a secondary telephoto lens and high resolution selfie camera with two Cameras offering high quality simulated bokeh effects. The spacious batteries and VOOC quick chargers belonging to the company are highly appreciated additions in the length of specifications sheet.

Downsides,

  • No EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) in 1080p 60fps and 4K modes
  • Using a micro USB connector instead of USB-C (but this is an issue with the VOOC charging)

Do not forget that in terms of competition, the Oppo R11 does not try to match the flags of the day. Instead, they focus exclusively on providing a great user experience and customer satisfaction. Apparently, a USB-C port connectivity and video stabilization are not on their top lists of users.

Oppo R11 will launch worldwide in black, gold, rose gold and an exclusive red in a few days at a retail price of around $ 440. The model R11 Plus will not be available in red, and its release details not revealed yet.

4.OnePlus 5

  • OS: Android 7.1.1 (Nougat)
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 835
    CPU:
    45 GHz, Octa Core
  • Rare Camera: Dual 16 MP + 20 MP, dual-LED flash, phase detection autofocus, 1.6x optical zoom, EIS (gyro)
    Front Camera:
16 MP, EIS (gyro), 1.0 µm pixel size, 1080p, Auto HDR
  • RAM: 6GB on the 64GB version and 8GB on the 128GB version
  • Internal Storage: 64GB and 128GB
  • Battery: 3300mAh
  • Weight: 153g
  • Price:

It’s strange that with a name like OnePlus knows no simpler addition. Well, Tetraphoby is real and many product lines avoid number 4, so there is nothing strange for a Chinese company to jump directly to 5. And the 3T was a little meant as 4.

But wait, the OnePlus 5 completely resembles the iPhone 7, on its design. And the second camera appeared on the back of OnePlus, which led the OnePlus designers to go through a total rebuilt, is also came from the iPhone 7. But still you have to agree that the OnePlus 5 is a cool-looking phone.

The OnePlus 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 and Kryo core set of all high-end models this season. However, few of them have 8 GB of RAM, which OnePlus 5 offers with pride. This crazy amount of RAM is compensated by 128 GB of storage in the OnePlus 5 premium version. The other one comes pedestrians of packets with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. We assume that it will take a long and   hard thought to make a decision, considering the storage out of the box is not extensible.

The three camera modules (selfie camera included) come with permission from Sony, the 5.5-inch FullHD AMOLED screen has not changed since OnePlus 3 and 3T, the battery capacity is 3300mAh, and the technology for proprietary Dash charge for quick reloads, and the phone works on the latest Android 7.1.1 – the slogan “Flagship Killer” may have disappeared, but the mentality remains

Downsides,

  • No storage expansions
  • No stereo speakers

Not all is great – the lack of a microSD slot for one, but there is no waterproofing either, not even splash guarded. If you use with big boys, it is better to be ready to brave puddle. Even if it is more affordable than most, a starting price of $500 is something high.

5.Huawei Honor 9

  • Display size:15 inches, LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  • Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels (428 ppi)
  • Dimension:3 x 70.9 x 7.5 mm
  • OS: Android 7.0 (Nougat)
  • Chipset: HiSilicon Kirin 960
    CPU:
    4 GHz, Octa Core
  • Rare Camera: Dual 20MP + 12 MP, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom
    Front Camera: 8MP
  • RAM: 4GB and 6GB
  • Internal Storage: 64GB and 128GB
  • Battery: 3200mAh
  • Weight: 155g
  • Price:

6.Oppo F3

  • Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels (401 ppi)
  • Dimension:3 x 75.2 x 7.3 mm

  • Chipset: Mediatek MT6750T
    CPU:
    5 GHz, Octa Core

    Secondary Camera:
    Dual 16 MP + 8 MP 1/3.1″ sensor size
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Internal Storage: 64GB
  • Battery: 3200mAh
  • Weight: 153g
  • Price:

7.Oppo F3 Plus

  • Display size:0 inches, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  • Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels (367 ppi)
  • Dimension:6 x 80.8 x 7.4 mm
  • OS: Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 653
    CPU:
    95 GHz, Octa Core

    Dual 16 MP + 8 MP, 1/3″ sensor size

Being noticed in a bustling atmosphere that the smartphone market is not an easy feat, but Oppo’s decision to go after the selfie magnet crowd is that seems to pay so far. Of course, technological gemstones like VOOC fast charging probably played a role too, but it is no coincidence that selfie lovers are experts most popularly using Oppo phones, according to the database.

Hardly a surprise while the Oppo F3 and F3 Plus almost followed the same strategy. A 16MP + 8MP duel Lens Selfie Cam becomes the advance with Oppo F3 and the F3 Plus and takes both the Phones a little bit advance. The Oppo mentioned that the 6 inch Display is the only advance option to go with Oppo F3 Plus, but now it seems different. As I have mentioned above the Oppo F3 Plus provides something more then what you can achieve with the Oppo F3.

But still both Phones are extremely good, and the Oppo F3 Plus performs even better, as it comes with a powerful snapdragon chipset and an extended battery.

Downsides,

  • The older Micro USB connecter and USB 2.0 interface
  • No NFC
  • Still runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)

Oppo F alignment started small. The original Oppo F1 expert selfie came as a compact budget option. This was followed by the much more ambitious F1 plus and it scored for big time at the national box office despite the cost almost twice as much as $450. Finally, F1 settled in the middle to become the most popular Phone in the family.

And, saying that you should not fix what is not broken, Oppo decided to play with the second generation. The F3 Plus is taking the initiative with the aim perhaps to show that the company feels much more comfortable in the high-end segment of the market. With a Snapdragon 653 and a generous 4GB of RAM, the new phablet certainly looks interesting and that’s not just in terms of picture.

The dual cameras radically changed the image of smartphones by placing a pair of Lens at the front, not only in the back as usual.

8.Huawei Honor 8 Pro

  • Display size:7 inches, LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  • Resolution: 1440 x 2560 pixels (515 ppi)
  • Dimension: 157 x 77.5 x 7 mm
  • OS: Android 7.0 (Nougat)
  • Chipset: HiSilicon Kirin 960
    CPU:
    4 GHz, Octa Core
  • Rare Camera: Dual 12 MP, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, phase detection and laser autofocus
    Front Camera:
    8 MP,1080p
  • RAM: 4GB/6GB
  • Internal Storage: 64GB
  • Battery: 4000mAh
  • Weight: 184g
  • Price:

Huawei Mate 9 and P10 have set the stage well for a variety of suites and – do what everyone does – Huawei seeks to maximize the wide impact badge on the ground. It is a very practical routine and Huawei Honor 8 Pro seems fit to play.

It is a smartphone of honor, a sub brand of Huawei, and Huawei didn’t even increase the model number. A bump at both screen size and resolution, the top chipset of the team, 4K video and the latest Android Pro.

Yes, the suite is very different from the original. In fact, it shares much more features with the P10 Plus flagship more than with previous Huawei Honor 8.

To begin with, there is a huge IPS display with 1440p resolution, while the latest Kirin 960 chip with 6GB of RAM is responsible for managing anything that can come your way. The design is all metal similar to P10, with some subtle curves in the perfect places.

What Honor 8 Pro inherits from the Honor 8 is the first generation dual Camera of Huawei, which lacks Leica movie modes, but still offers native monochrome photography. There is also a fingerprint scanner mounted at the back, which is not much familiar, compare to the front mounted Fingerprint reader.

Downsides,

  • The older USB 2.0 standard on a Type-C connector
  • No water proofing

It is disconnected likely to wait for iconic lining like the USB 3.0 sealing support or be 3.0 plus midranger when the headlight Device itself does not deliver the goods well.

Honor 8 Pro is really an interesting mixture of old and new material, without the latter committing the complete set. The first double Camera room made up by Huawei for One – has already been updated, but the original is even more relevant.

9.BlackBerry Priv

  • Display size:4 inches, AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  • Resolution: 1440 x 2560 pixels (540 ppi)
  • Dimension: 147 x 77.2 x 9.4 mm
  • OS: Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) upgradable to Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow)
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 808
    CPU:
    4 GHz, Hexa Core
  • Rare Camera: 18 MP, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, Schneider-Kreuznach optics, OIS, phase detection autofocus,
    Front Camera:
    2 MP, 720p
  • RAM: 3GB
  • Internal Storage: 32GB
  • Battery: 3410mAh
  • Weight: 192g
  • Price:

A QWERTY slider BlackBerry with a curved screen cursor under Android, do we get that right? We reviewed BlackBerry Priv is as exciting as unique. Honestly, it is one of those things that many may have dreamed about, but no one thought it would happen. It is also probably the last chance for BlackBerry to try to change things.

The BlackBerry Priv is a risky and costly venture – recognizing the irony of saying that on a device, which is superbly equipped and securely attached.

If all goes well, for the good of Blackberry, the Blackberry Priv meet the expectations and expressed by itself and comes down as a visionary, not an anomaly. However, before we begin to explore it, we feel compelled to put aside their marvelous ambivalence.

The BlackBerry Priv looks surprisingly like a very personalized car. It’s almost like BlackBerry entered the dealership and scored all possible areas including some that are hardly compatible, and then apply a completely different engine. And if that was not enough, then BlackBerry is responsible for defining their own security protocols so that the level of privacy of the communication matches their own high standards.

Downsides,

  • Wireless charging only available on the US versions of the Device
  • Poor front facing camera
  • No quick charger in the box

From the outside, the BlackBerry Priv is extremely attractive and instantly credible. Hardly a surprise that the superior BlackBerries always had it.

Now the concept of a BlackBerry / Hybrid Android has huge potential, but the premiere of this race is definitely not for everyone. There are many unknowns and there is the price tag to consider as well. To continue the automotive analogy, the main features, the security level and the BlackBerry logo on the hood add up to a price of around $890.

There is nothing wrong with exclusive devices and less can do better than that in the BlackBerry Priv but we can understand every bit of skepticism as to how it will work in the current BlackBerry situation.

It is exactly the less-than-the-stellar state of affairs even though it makes you appreciate the BlackBerry’s courage that they attempt to maintain high standards of security in an open source platform.

10.Huawei P10 Plus

  • Display size:5 inches, IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
  • Resolution: 1440 x 2560 pixels (540 ppi)
  • Dimension:5 x 74.2 x 7 mm
  • OS: Android 7.0 (Nougat)
  • Chipset: HiSilicon Kirin 960
    CPU:
    4 GHz, Octa Core
  • Rare Camera: Dual 20 MP + 12 MP, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, OIS, Leica optics, phase detection and laser autofocus
    Front Camera:
    8 MP
  • RAM: 4GB on the 64GB version and 6GB on the 128GB version
  • Internal Storage: 64GB / 128GB
  • Battery: 3750mAh
  • Weight: 165g
  • Price:

With the appearance of stealing exposure and imaging capabilities, the Huawei P10 Plus was one of the headliners at the MWC – it had a good backup inside and Not too heavy to challenge from the outside. At the beginning of the new season, competition begins to hit harder, so the Huawei P10 Plus has great testing ahead.

It is true, Huawei will definitely find the heavyweight action you are looking for. After all, the only way to improve is to compete with the best; this is what always been driving the Huawei in everything they do. We have to hand over to the P10 more, it has got ambition and attitude, and you can above specification lineup, if you have the opportunity to match.

Downsides,

  • Low grade of water Proofing tech
  • The same older 2.0 slandered on the Type-C connector
  • No wireless charging

The Leica dual imager may seem like a wonder itself in the previous P9, but this generation confirms it is a long-term commitment. Updated Leica Dual Pro 2.0 Camera is available on the Huawei P10 and Huawei Mate 9, but only Huawei P10 Plus benefits from a brighter and faster f/1.8 aperture.

To try to support the emblematic aspirations of the alignment, the WQHD screen is a first for the P series, a special treatment granted so far that honors the Huawei mates.

A 5.5 inches screen makes the Huawei P10 Plus a little easier to manage than a companion or Huawei-made Nexus, of course. The HiSilicon’s Kirin 960 with an OCTA-core and a Mali-G71 processor is the same engine as Huawei Mate 9. The 12MP RGB / 20MP monochromatic configuration provides optical image stabilization, 4 in 1 autofocus and 2x hybrid zoom.

The Huawei P10 Plus is cleverly designed and made up with a striking exterior. The High-end internal components like Leica combo and all very special get a fairly high price. The Huawei P10 Plus’s own brother, the regular P10, and mostly identical Mate 9 Pro can be good alternatives if you want to stay in budget (Huawei P10) or insist on AMOLED (Huawei Matte 9 Pro).

We assume that the Huawei P10 Plus will be more ready to face “real” competition to worry about internal rivalries. However, we cannot imagine that feeling too comfortable in the shadow AMOLED of his own cousin.
