Manufacturer has to cut some features to reduce its cost. So usually budget phones have low resolution displays, low quality plastic bodies and law amount of storage. But for relief these things are improving every day. You can buy a smart phone with full HD display and 8mm body for £150. But as a result of low price it will not support NFC but most of the time it will support 4G connectivity. We are trying to give some tips in key areas you have to aware of.

There are two main operating systems that you will find on a budget smartphone. Google Android and Windows phone 10. These operating systems allow you to download main applications (Facebook, Twitter, Skype, WhatsApp, etc..) for your phone. If you want Gmail, YouTube, Google Map and Google apps you have to go with Android phone. The main problem with the windows phone is they have limited apps and also apps may not have same features like Android.

Hardware

Processor

Today we can find a cheap phone with same processor and same performance like expensive phones. For example the 4G version of the Motorola Moto E has the Snapdragon 410 CPU. There are lots of budget phones include with this chipset and they give a good competition to other flagship phones. So buy an expensive phone having exactly the same chip is pointless. However you have to find out that phone performs well or not.

Battery

Battery life is a main factor in performance and lots of people get trouble with their smart phone’s battery life is not much enough for their day to day work life. But these cheap smart phones might be more battery life than expensive ones because most cheap smart phones have a lower resolution display. It helps to save some battery power. There is no different in size of battery in both budget smart phones and expensive phones. And non-removable and removable batteries are there.

Screen

When it comes to the screen low resolution may be a problem that you have to face. Low resolution means when screen size increasing gradually text and icons can look jagged. Normally on a 5 inches screen 1280×720 is the minimum resolution. And we mentioned earlier you can buy a budget smart phone with a full HD screen. Since you looking for a cheap smart phone, screen quality and brightness may not be important but you should have some knowledge about screen too.

Cameras

These day camera become one of the main necessity for a smart phone and people always look for a best possible camera for photos and videos. But for cheap smart phones, camera is the main item to be cut to reduce the price. When we talk about front camera you can buy a cheap phone with 5 mega pixel front camera. However if you deal with Selfies and Skype chats mostly you have to choose a budget smart phone with good front camera.

Software

We talk about difference between Android and windows phone. The first choice of most people is the Android smart phone. Generally Android phone is the best phone because you’ll get any Apps, updates faster especially while a complete new version of Android comes out.
